Dr. Andre Loose
Andre studied physics and computer science in Berlin and Rio de Janeiro, earning his PhD in complex systems and nonlinear dynamics. He moved to New York as a Research Scientist at the Columbia Astrophysics Lab, trapping single krypton atoms for a dark matter detection experiment. At re:collect, he composed LLMs with knowledge graphs and custom ML models. He then helped create NewsArc, an agentic AI news application challenging the attention-economy model.
Zav Shotan, PhD
Zav is an experimental physicist with over a decade of software engineering experience. During his PhD he founded a tech company focused on statistical solutions using Monte Carlo simulations. He moved to NYC to work as a Postdoc on microscopy, light-matter interaction, and quantum computing, then transitioned into industry at a prominent data startup where he built and streamlined their data pipeline. He is fluent in Kubernetes, Airflow, CI/CD, GCP, and Docker.
Orian Sharoni
Orian specializes in the intersection of academic research and end-to-end ML development. Her background in computational cognition, where she researched and mathematically modeled human behavior, grounds her understanding of both human thought and machine reasoning. She applies this to expand the boundaries of what’s possible with AI.
Roee Shenberg
Roee worked for Facebook AI Research on real time music style transfer, founded a Y-Combinator backed startup in gesture control, and prototyped software for what became the Microsoft Kinect at PrimeSense. Over the years he’s come to realize that in order to blur the lines between humans and technology, you need to know computers well and humans better.
